There’s alot to do about this one. Some people swear by certain brands, while some maintain it’s irrelevant. I’ve heard people saying that using non scented moisturizer will do just fine, and no need for the fancy stuff.. What are your thoughts?
CMS Collagen Moisturizer Spray. Soluble collagen in a spray with a healing ingredient called Allantoin. No cross contamination. Simply spray and get instant relief without touching the skin. Preserves color and speeds up healing. The best kept secret in the tattoo world.
I always keep it simple and use Bepanthen nappy rash ointment for the first few days – then when scabbing starts switch to unscented cocoa butter lotion, because the bepanthen is pretty thick and could pull off the scabs. Have healed beautifully every time!
All depends on your skin type. Aquaphor and other similar products work great for some but cause large pimples on my fair skin and have dented up more than one tattoo on me. The more work I get, the more I like the idea of keeping the piece wrapped for a few days (cleaning and changing wrap of course) and letting your body do its thing.
If you do feel that the tattoo is drying out, get the gentlest product you can find. Absolutely no scents, as few chemicals as possible. There are a million options but your body knows best.
